Online scammers continue to evolve as organizations, and their teams continue to work from home. While training and other informational resources have raised awareness of simple phishing scams (stay alert; they’re still a threat), experts warn that scammers are evolving and becoming more sophisticated. Some of the more elaborate schemes include registering domain names remarkably similar to legitimate company domains and sending emails from those domains pretending to be executives or team members from legitimate organizations. In other instances, scammers will create mirror websites of legitimate companies using these similar domains to scam customers. In these cases, there are some legal ways to fight back!
